We anticipate awarding grants of 280EUR each to partially support travel expenses of the selected participants, thanks to the support of IFIP TC8 through the IFIP Developing countries support committee (DCSC). This support will be reimbursed after the conference requiring presentation of relevant receipts.

Grant Application

DSS 2010 - the 15th IFIP WG 8.3 International Conference on Decision Support Systems is soliciting applications for grants to partially support participants planning to attend DSS 2010 in Lisbon, Portugal July 7 – July 10, 2010.

There are two categories: Grants for authors and Grants for students participating in the Doctoral Consortium

Grants for authors

To be eligible, a participant must be a citizen of a country listed in the World Bank lists of Low-income economies and Lower-middle-income economies <external link>

We anticipate awarding grants covering registration fees of the selected participants thanks to our sponsors FCUL, CIO and FCT.

Grant Application Submission: To apply, submit by email a text not exceeding 500 words summarizing your current research related to Decision Support Systems, what you hope to learn by attending the conference, and how you expect it to affect your future research directions and/or professional experience.

Please include, AT THE FRONT OF THE SUBMISSION, BY THIS ORDER:

  • Your name, address, email address, fax, telephone, citizenship and affiliation.
  • What is your paper/poster/ submission to Doctoral Consortium title?
  • Was your paper/poster/submission to Doctoral Consortium accepted (if known)?

Applications must be received no later than April 11, 2010. Application submission is via e-mail, preferably as a pdf attachment, to the following address: dss2010@di.fc.ul.pt with subject “Grant Application”.

All submissions will be confirmed via return e-mail. If you do not receive a confirmation within 48 hours of sending your e-mail please contact DSS 2010 organization.
